Tiny waves today but us girls paddled out anyway and as we were halfway there it started raining. A few gentle drops, building up into a proper sumatran rain shower as we sat out there waiting for some baby waves to roll in. Splish splash, you couldn’t see one meter before you but the cold drops on face and skin felt so good it made me smile and lift my arms towards the sky. Not even the thunder made us leave this stormy, yet beautifully peaceful scenery. We paddled, partly blind from the heavy rain whipping our faces, we could barely see the horizon any more. After 15 minutes it was over and the sun burned down on us as if there hadn’t been any storm just a few moments ago.
I am so in love with this place, always have, always will be.
